Inland Explorers Adventure Day Camps offer a variety of opportunities for local kids to explore the beauty of Midcoast Conservancy’s Hidden Valley Nature Center through hiking, mountain biking, swimming, paddleboarding, and canoeing. Underpinning these adventures is our Hearty Roots approach: meeting all campers where they are; creating a space for joy, gratitude, reflection, and connection; and supporting campers as they explore their stretch zone and discover their grit.

All Campers Ages 9-10
Camper Experience:
Hearty Roots Adventure Camps foster resilience and wellness for Maine youth through a fusion of outdoor adventure programming and social-emotional experiences. Relationship building, exploring, games, journaling, yoga, and mindfulness activities are all a part of the recipe for programming that not only encourages positive affirmation, meaningful connections, and healthy mindsets, it provides a safe space for all participants to go on a journey of self-discovery. All camps culminate in a Closing Circle where campers reflect upon and share their experiences with each other and their families!
Day Camps are open to all campers and would be ideal for participants who are open to participating in day-long outdoor adventure and mindfulness activities in a group setting. This Inland Explorers session is capped at 18 participants with 4 qualified Adventure Mentors, for intentional supervision and purposeful group facilitation. There will be opportunities for the group to be split into small groups for portions of the session.
A pack list and additional camp details will be sent to families in the weeks leading up to the start of camp.
Schedule:
Monday 7/17 - Friday 7/21
Daily Drop-off between 8:45 and 9:00 am
Pick-up at 4:00 pm; Closing Circle & Pick-up on Friday TBD.

This summer we are grateful to Midcoast Conservancy for welcoming our Inland Explorers camp sessions to the wondrous Hidden Valley Nature Center located at 131 Egypt Road, Jefferson, ME 04348.
