We understand the financial realities nonprofit organizations face. Program fees often keep the lights on, and limited scholarship funds must be carefully distributed to families who demonstrate need. At Hearty Roots, we navigate those same challenges. We operate on a tight budget and know firsthand the delicate balance between fiscal sustainability and accessible programming. Still, we’ve chosen a different path.
Our team includes parents and caregivers who understand what it feels like to “prove” the need for financial assistance just to enroll a child in camp or after-school care. We believe our community needs strong youth programs—not only to support the holistic well-being of young people, but also to ensure families can work and thrive.
We don’t do this work alone. Local businesses partner as scholarship supporters, investing in youth and families across our region. Their trust in our stewardship and commitment to stretching every dollar makes it possible for us to say yes regardless of financial circumstance.
