The Canning family tradition continues—and you’re invited!

We’re heading to the rivah’ at Glidden Point Oyster Farms, our ultimate hosts and steadfast partners in this work. This isn't your typical gala; it’s a soulful celebration featuring an earthy, wood-fired feast from Applecroft Catering and the Caribbean-meets-Mardi Gras brass vibes of the Soggy Po’ Boys.

This epic night is all thanks to the vision of Brendan Canning, whose brilliant idea to collaborate with Ryan McPherson of Glidden Point makes this magic possible. Together, they’ve created a space where community and mission meet on the half-shell.

Amidst the dancing and oysters, we’re unveiling the future of Hearty Roots. Be the first to see our Master Plan for our Campus for Mindful Adventure Grounds—a permanent home for grit and growth designed in partnership with Carson Douglas Landscape Architecture.

Come mix, mingle, and help us build a solid place for Lincoln County youth to stand.

The Soggy Po Boys, native to New England, have quickly become an institution. They are spreading the good news of New Orleans music across the northeast and beyond, wherever the party requires.

Applecroft Catering is a working farm in Waldoboro, Maine. They cook over an open fire, source from local farms and fisheries within 20 miles, and host a small number of dinners and gatherings each year.
