Camper Experience:

Hearty Roots Adventure Camps foster resilience and wellness for Maine youth through a fusion of outdoor adventure programming and social-emotional experiences. Relationship building, nature exploration, games, journaling, yoga, and mindfulness activities are all a part of the recipe for programming that not only encourages positive affirmation, meaningful connections, and healthy mindsets, it provides a safe space for all participants to go on a journey of self-discovery. All camps culminate in a Closing Circle where campers reflect upon and share their experiences with each other and their families!

Coastal Navigators III Overnight Adventures are ideal for campers who are ready to take their adventures to the next level. Campers are open to learning and developing sea kayak and ocean navigation skills, participating in 1-3+ hour-long day paddles with fully packed kayaks, spending a week away from home while camping in tents on islands in Muscongus Bay, developing leadership skills, and actively engaging with a group.

A pack list and additional camp details will be sent to families in the weeks leading up to the start of camp.

Schedule:

Sunday 7/30 - Saturday 8/5
A specific drop-off time for Sunday morning and pick-up time for Saturday will be shared as we get closer to camp. Closing Circle will take place on Saturday.

Location:

This summer we are grateful to Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust for welcoming us back to the stunning Osborn Finch Wildlife Sanctuary on Dutch Neck Road in Waldoboro to host our coastal camp experiences and to Maine Island Trail Association for their work protecting islands and creating public access along the coast of Maine!
