MOLLY MILLER

DIRECTOR OF SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS

Molly is at her best when she’s connecting with young people, whether exploring the woods or along the ocean. Her love of the natural world started at home. Growing up on a small peninsula in midcoast Maine, her kitchen table was often covered with her dad’s latest finds: moths, owl pellets, bird nests, jars of pond water. It embarrassed her at the time, but she now credits those early years with sharpening her ability to notice what many others overlook. That same curiosity and awareness shapes her work with young people. Molly tunes in closely to each young person’s interests and behaviors, and her genuine joy in getting to know them in a lighthearted and playful way is what builds trust and lasting relationships. A committed child advocate, she is passionate about helping young people feel seen and heard. She comes to Hearty Roots with a M.Ed. and a background in classroom teaching, both in public and independent schools. As the Director of School Partnerships, Molly is on cloud nine and loves coming to work every day!

She lives in Rockport with her husband, their two kids, and dog, Scruffy. She loves hiking, birdwatching, sailing, skiing, lying in the grass looking up at the clouds, playing soccer, and jumping on her family’s trampoline.
