At Hearty Roots, Jess works behind the scenes to support our programming through fundraising, community engagement, and program development. In 2020 Jess launched our year-round Outing Club and Taproot Mentorship programs and continues to develop new ways to engage with our Midcoast Community and support local Maine kids and families. Jess’s frequent adventures throughout Maine’s mountains, rivers, and coastal waters inspire her passion for creating inclusive opportunities for others to connect to Maine’s natural landscape in meaningful ways. Jess is dedicated to Hearty Roots’ unique mission and believes that our thoughtful blend of outdoor adventure and social-emotional learning has the power to instill compassion, empathy, and resilience in our local kids who will in turn pave the way towards a more inclusive and vibrant future for our community.
