ANGELA DESVEAUX
OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Angela was born and raised in Colorado, spending most of her time exploring the Rockies, and learning from an early age to appreciate the importance of connecting with the natural world. After attending Willamette University in Oregon, and getting degrees in Anthropology and Biology, she solidified her love of the outdoors working on an Americorps crew in the PNW backcountry with local tribes to reestablish native species, build trails to ancestral lands, and eradicate invasives. Angela joins Hearty Roots with 10 years of experience in environmental education, bushcraft, wilderness medicine, and program facilitation. She believes that there is nothing more rewarding than watching young people establish connections with nature, and loves playing a part (however small) in fostering their curiosity. In her free time, Angela enjoys reading, crocheting, making nature inspired art, hiking, canoeing, gardening and spending time with her husband, two toddlers, and two cats at their home in Jefferson.
