Paddle Release & Waiver

By participating in the Paddle for a Purpose event benefiting Hearty Roots (“Activity”), I certify that I (and/or my minor child) am physically able to participate and will cease participation if conditions are unsafe; I acknowledge that the Activity involves inherent risks, including serious injury or death, arising from my actions, the actions of others, environmental conditions, or the negligence of the parties released below, and I voluntarily assume all such risks and responsibility for any resulting loss, injury, or damage; I hereby release, waive, discharge, and agree not to sue Hearty Roots and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, participants, and property owners (“Releasees”) from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages arising out of or related to participation, including those caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Releasees; I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Releasees from any claims, damages, losses, or costs (including attorneys’ fees) arising from my (or my minor child’s) participation or any claims brought on our behalf; I grant permission for the use of my (or my minor child’s) image for promotional purposes without compensation; I agree this Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law, and that if any portion is held invalid, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect; I have read this Agreement, understand I am giving up substantial rights, and sign it voluntarily.
