KRISTINA BUCKLEY

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Kristina came to Hearty Roots with a background in nonprofit communications, marketing strategy, graphic design, and illustration. In addition to her previous roles, she has worked for the last 15 years as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, supporting the work of small businesses and nonprofit organizations through event posters, logos, merch., book covers, custom fine art prints, and membership materials. Kristina grew up in New England, spending much of their upbringing swimming in the closest body of water, hiking in the White Mountains, and visiting local pick-your-owns (apple, blueberry, strawberry, you name it). For this reason, Hearty Roots’ mission of creating access for youth in the great outdoors, is incredibly close to her heart and values.

When she's not in the office, Kristina enjoys working in their community garden plot, seed-saving, digging into her current book club read, taking up a new craft habit, and spending time with her community in Portland and the midcoast.
